You're invited to join family, friends, and supporters as Councilwoman-elect Tunua Thrash-Ntuk officially joins the Long Beach City Council. In our municipal government, in order for an official to take office, he or she must first take the oath of office; this is also known as a swearing-in ceremony. The official reciting of the oath swears an allegiance to uphold the State and US Constitutions. Councilwoman-elect's ceremony will occur at Long Beach City Hall on the evening of December 17, 2024. A pre-reception will be at 3pm, followed by the City Council Meeting at 5pm. There will be a celebration event afterwards in Downtown Long Beach.
