Long Beach City Council 8th District

The City of Long Beach is a municipal corporation that was formed in 1897. It’s a California Charter City that uses the Council-Manager form of government. There are nine (9) council members elected by the voters of the unique districts that they represent. The Long Beach City Council 8th District sits north of the 405 and 710 freeway interchange, along the Los Angeles River and is home to more than 50,000 residents. The District includes portions of the 90805 and 90807 zip codes.

The 8th Council District includes many diverse neighborhoods, including the communities of Addams, Carmelitos, Coolidge Triangle, Country Club Manor, Dairy, Linebergh, Longwood, Sutter and North Long Beach.
