Tunua Thrash-Ntuk for Long Beach City Council

"I'm Tunua Thrash-Ntuk, and I'm running to be your next Councilmember because we need leadership with experience to solve North Long Beach's biggest challenges.

I'm a working mom and have spent my career providing working families with the resources they need to live, work, and play in a thriving neighborhood.

I'm the granddaughter and daughter of union workers and was the first in my family to go to college. I earned my Bachelor's Degree from UC Berkeley and Master's Degree in City Planning from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).

As your voice at City Hall, I'll bring people together and respond to your needs by:

  • Investing in public safety
  • Reducing and preventing homelessness
  • Fixing our pothole-riddled streets and broken sidewalks
  • Expanding economic opportunity for all

I have led non-profit organizations that built affordable housing and invested in small businesses. I’ve helped improve economic equity by co-leading Long Beach's "Everyone In" Economic Inclusion Policy Task Force and serving on the Long Beach Transit Board of Directors.

I am proud to be endorsed by the Los Angeles County Democratic Party, Long Beach Firefighters Association, Los Angeles County Federation of Labor, Long Beach Chamber of Commerce, Pacific West Realtors, and trusted community leaders, including Mayor Rex Richardson, Congressmember Robert Garcia, Senator Lena Gonzalez, LBUSD School Boardmember Dr. Juan Benitez, and Councilmember Dr. Joni Ricks-Oddie.

I kindly ask for your vote by Tuesday, March 5, 2024."
